The Grynd Report interviews artist @Quezzboi

What’s going on Quezzboi? Please introduce yourself to our readers and tell us where you’re from.
What’s going on world you already know what time it is.. It’s Quezzboi AKA Mista U Kno.. Que Casanova to the ladies checking in from Charleston,Sc.

What was life like growing up in your city?
Growing up in my city was cool. Raised by the coast, slow pace environment, definitely a lot of hustlers. Time has changed a lot since the early 2000s. More opportunities for the minority, everyone is starting to understand the importance of coming together rather than the average crab in the bucket mentality.

What made you decide music was your passion?
Long story short, I found my passion for music around the age of 13. I heard a song and thought it sounded easy to write and from then on I couldn’t stop. I almost gave up several times as I aged but I would randomly hear melodies in my head and just couldn’t give up. I felt music was my true calling.

Growing up which artists could we catch you listening to?
Growing up I would listen to a lot of local artist from Charleston, South Carolina such as Pachino Dino, Killa Skip, Mista Taylor, Junior G and etc. In South Carolina we really rock with music that tells stories about the daily slum life. As far as major artist goes, I would have to say Boosie, Jeezy, Project Pat and 36 Mafia were my top picks.

Tell us about the single you are currently pushing and where it’s available.
The single I’m currently pushing is titled “Wide Open”. When I first heard the beat I just knew I had to make something to get the ladies going. The Ironic thing about it is, I didn’t know I was going to make a song that not only makes the ladies want to dance but actually has a positive message behind it. This goes back to one of the previous questions were I mentioned that the music comes to me naturally. The song can be found on
YouTube, My Mixtapes, Spinrilla, Google Play, I Tunes, Spotify and a whole lot more streaming platforms.

What are some of your goals musically for the remainder of 2019?
My main goal for 2019 is to be at a point to where introducing myself has dropped to the bare minimum. What I mean by that is, my hard work and determination has started to pay off to the point to where I’m respected and my face card ring bells to industry executives, media, Djs and etc. I want to develop a bigger fan base, start touring and get this single playing worldwide. From there the rest is history.

What else can we catch you doing besides Music?
Besides the music you can catch me involved with anything dealing with entertainment. I would love to get in a film and wouldn’t mind being behind the scenes later in life helping someone else reach their goals. I’m really trying to own a few companies, some franchises and maybe start one company from the ground up. I have some ideas in mind lol

What’s your definition of Grynd?
My definition of Grynd is going hard with a plan even when you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sacrificing sleep, time from family and a lot of unnecessary energy on things that are not helping you to reach your end goal. Definitely can’t be afraid to take risk for what you want. Always remember to start everyday off with faith and trust your instincts.

Where can we keep up with you online?
You can keep up with me on Instagram and Twitter @Quezzboi. Facebook is Onlyone Que. Outside of that, if you type in Quezzboi in Google you’ll find me.

Any S/O’s?
Without saying any names I would like to thank everybody who supports me on my journey from family, friends, Djs, producers, promoters, media and bloggers. You all know who you are! Some been down since day one and others joined as I developed as an artist. Appreciate y’all!
