The Grynd Report interviews Louisville artist, City Of Tyrone | @CityOfTyrone

What’s going on City of Tyrone? Please introduce yourself to our readers and tell us where you’re from.
Blessed I can’t complain… My name is City Of Tyrone From Louisville Kentucky

What was life like growing up in your city?
Growing up gang activity was growing rampant… individuals was committing crimes out of town and going on the run and find themselves migrating to Louisville Kentucky. But with all this going on around me you had to become street savvy and adapt the ability to survive.

What made you decide music was your passion?
Close encounters with law enforcement, snitching at an all time high, I got addicted to the peaceful nature the studio booth had. My escape temporarily from the madness going on around me.

Growing up which artists could we catch you listening to?
I was more into the 70s & 80s Soulful Music.

Tell us about the single you are currently pushing called ‘Get That Money’ and where it’s available.
Get That Money is doing very well on Spotify picking up momentum. But the song can be found on any digital platform. I initially created the song to pay homage to the strip clubs and with no judgement encourage any woman in any profession to “Get That Money”

What are some of the goals you have set for yourself musically?
All the money I spent investing in myself in this music game I want it back triple.

What else can we catch you doing besides Music?
Mentoring and artist development… consultant

What’s your definition of Grynd?
When you want it more than the people that believe in you most.
