Exclusive Grynd Certified interview w/ Bigg Freez G!

What’s going on? Please introduce yourself and tell us where you’re from.
Im Bigg Freez G from New Orleans, Louisiana. Up town representer downtown front and center!!!

What was your inspiration to become a music artist?
Growing up my sister and me used to put on lil shows in the house and she always did the vocals and i kicked the raps. As we got older that turned into talent shows, but we played piano sang in the church choir and all that…it was just a matter of time before one of us got serious into the music.

With so many independent artists out here what makes you different & sets you apart?
What folks tells me separates me from all of the other artists out here is my flow and love for the wordplay. I dont like being basic with my rhymes i like a lil complexity that’ll make a person think when they listening to my music. I like putting each word exactly where it belongs on the track and kickin a more unorthodox style of putting my words together. I know I sound like nothing on the market right now, thats what makes my music hot is that individuality without going too far left, that OG music.

For those who may not have heard your music, how would you describe it?
I’d describe my music as down south swang with that East coast word play and that West coast gangstaism. Im from deep down in the dirty but my music has been influenced by so many artists from so many places and genres. Regardless of the feel of a track though its hard flows and real lyrics over hard tracks!!!

Currently, what single / video are you pushing & where can we find it?
The single I’m dropping next is called Whippin N Workin. It’ll be available on itunes and on the Uniscope site May 23.

When you step in the studio, what are some things you must have on deck?
When I step in the studio really I just need my producer and engineer ready to work with no bullshitting!!! Smoke, drink (Hennessey Black) thats cool and all but my main concern when I hit the lab is laying good work!!! Im gonna put good music up sober or buzzed, but I prefer sober. Everythings more crispy that way.

How did you come up with your name?
My name was given to me when I was 13. When I was young the homies called me Lil Crusher because all i did was eat, always crushing something. Then when I was about 13 I lost a whole lot of weight but I was mean as hell, and had a cold ass demeanor and I always kept shit G. So my patna Tony I was doing music with at the time started calling me Freez the G, then that turned into Bigg Freez G.

Tell everyone where they can find you? [Websites, Social media, Booking info etc]
My fb is Freez Gee my Ig is SGE OG, music on ITunes, Uniscope website and more sites coming soon!!!
