What was life like growing up in the Atlanta area?
My Name is Royal Sauce and I’m from Atlanta Ga. Honestly, Growing up in Atlanta is probably like growing up in any other city. It had its good times and its down times. I grew up with my mother, an older and younger sister , as well as both of my grandmothers. My dad came home from the feds when I was 2 years old and I grew up half of my childhood in Atlanta Georgia and half in Greensboro Georgia which is where my dad is from. My older cousins picked on me cause I was a city boy going down to the country every summer. I was the baby and they made me pay for it lol. It all made me who I am today though.

What made you decide music was your passion?
What made me decide music was my passion was every time I went to the country my older cousins and I were always so bored in my grandma’s house because she was very over protective about us going outside and getting involved with the other children. So my cousins and I stayed in the house and beep boxed on the table. Then we grabbed a fan then turned it on and we rapped in the fan like were in the booth. At this time my mother Poshe Blanco was striving hard in her music and made my cousins have belief in music. We had fun and passed off time with our raps. Then I thought to myself, I wanted to make it a career.

How did you come up with your name?
Well How I came up with my rap name now was when I had a popular name in school called B-Reckless but my whole name was Almighty B-Reckless or they called me B-Reck for short. My friend Savythekid and I where full of ourselves so we decided to have another nickname called the Sauce Gods. We then decided to make that our secondary nicknames but I still kept the name Almighty B-Reckless. My mother told me to be careful with your name titles or you will really become what your title is so I got kicked out of school and I finally understood what she meant by the names. I decided to change my life do clothing and changed my name to Royal SauceGod, then later on down everybody called themselves the SauceGods. So I decided to take out the God and made it my current name; Royal Sauce.

My definition of grynd is always trying to be a step ahead of everybody. While everybody is sleeping I’m working, while everybody entertaining I’m educating. To cut it short and really to say the meaning of grynd is the willingness to take that step forward that the average person won’t do and is willing to endure and take the lead and stay motivated on what your dream is.
